For those who are back to work today, I’ve got today’s outfit covered.
That Monday morning can always be a tough one, especially when that time change hits and we lose that precious one hour of sleep. No one can understand why we have this time change in the first place so I’m all for removing it from our lives. As we wake up groggy and sip on our coffees, there’s always that dilemma of what to wear for work. If your workplace is like mine, business attire is no easy task to dress for and can cause a real challenge in the mornings. So what do you pull together? Something easy and as comfortable as possible – so you can run out the door as fast as possible.
This Buffalo Check Coat makes it really easy to put over anything and can act as a blazer. In this instance, I just threw it over a sleeveless blouse with high-waisted Wool Trousers from Club Monaco. I snagged these ones when they were on sale and they are seriously the best work trouser. They fit perfectly, they’re warm and they’re pink – that’s a win-win-win! Pairing them with your favourite pump is a great way to look effortlessly chic when heading into the office. Also, to bedazzle things a little, I’ve added a simple necklace to the mix.
It can be as simple as that – three articles of clothing simply layered over one another. I find the longer coat compliments the high-waisted trousers and a pump can really make the outfit look smart.
