Double Delight: DXV’s Signature Style Elevates Two Bathroom Renovations

DXV Bathroom Reveals

One of the most rewarding areas to renovate is undoubtedly the bathroom. Today, we’re excited to share two stunning bathroom reveals that emerged after a major home renovation/addition, both featuring exquisite hardware from DXV.

Built on timeless design, meticulous craftsmanship and personal expression, DXV’s Bathroom Collections reinterpret the pivotal design eras of Classic, Golden, Modern and Contemporary, fusing design with innovation and modern sensibility. The end result – truly inspired designs that elevate the experience of everyday living.

Main Bath: Contemporary Meets Farmhouse with Equility® Collection

For the first bathroom reveal, we were drawn to a more contemporary, clean-lined aesthetic mixed with the comfort design elements of farmhouse. DXV proved to be the go-to choice for hardware that could bring this vision to life with their Equility® Collection

Faucet & Vanity

We knew choosing the Equility® faucet with its sleek design, water-saving features and easy-to-use functionality would work perfectly for Knox (as this was meant to be his go-to bathroom) and we were right! The smooth on-and-off lever made it simple for him to use. The sleek design was something we gravitated to and loved the curves of it. Plus, matte black hides a lot of smudges and water stains so a major win-win!

The vanity we chose was from Home Depot (ordered in the US) and we decided to swap out the handles for a matte black option to match the faucet. I personally love the storage space of the pull-out drawer at the bottom of the vanity for toilet paper and the spacious double door access to hide all of Knox’s bath toys.

Bathtub & Shower

The Equility® Wall Tub Spout matched the sleek and modern design of the showerhead along with the wall valves to control the shower head and tub spout + temperature. And Let me tell you how handy it is to have a personal hand shower set when you’re trying to hose down a toddler. He’s not quite into traditional showers yet and we don’t always have the time to run him a bath so having this functional hand shower saves us so much time and Knox doesn’t seem to mind it – I don’t think we could ever live without one now!

Now moving on to the tub. Since we were working with an already existing bathroom with restrictive sizing issues, we needed a tub that would work with the space but also something that matched our sleek/modern design choices of the hardware. American Standard 60 x 30 Studio® Integral Apron Bathtub was an easy choice to make for the bathroom. I love the modern look and it’s also easy for Knox to get in and out of – major win!

The Accessories

DXV’s Equility® Collection offers a variety of accessories to match their hardware. We opted for their sleek toilet paper holder and matching towel rack to complement the space.

To add a bit of that farmhouse touch to the rest of the bathroom, we opted for more comfortable accessories like the light fixture from Pottery Barn, the bathmat and wood stool from HomeSense, and other knick-knacks to compliment the space. I still feel like this bathroom is a work in progress with a few empty walls that we can definitely fill with art but I’m loving how this is all coming together and so does Knox!

Primary Bath: The Classic Elegance with Oak Hill®

The second bathroom we’re about to reveal is all about timeless beauty and classic elegance. We wanted a bathroom that would feel like stepping into a luxurious spa every day, and so the Oak Hill® Collection was no doubt our immediate choice.

My two stipulations for this bathroom, when I was chatting with our Project Manager from ACM Design and Build,
1. Sourcing grey and white unpolished marble flooring (if you know how hard it is to find this in Canada – then you’ll understand the challenge we were about to face).
2. The right satin brass for our hardware.

The second was easy to attain after reviewing the selections DXV offered in satin brass but the first was a bit of a struggle. We eventually sourced a place in the Yorkdale area (Marble Granite & Tile Depot) that carried 12 x 48 sheets of marble and were able to cut them down to the size we were looking for. This tile was probably the biggest setback of our primary bathroom renovation but it was so worth the wait! We decided to run the same marble flooring right into the shower. I think I had a lot of people concerned about this choice but so far, the water, soap, etc. has done nothing to the marble and no water stains at all! I’m incredibly happy with my choice and marble isn’t as hard to care for than I thought. You still have to be careful with certain spills such as wine or coffee but other than that, the honed marble is forgiving.

Faucets & Showerheads

The Oak Hill® 2-Widespread Faucet with Cross Handles was the perfect choice for this classic bathroom. It was the exact aesthetic we were looking for along with the double sink vanities. A huge plus to these faucets? They’re water-conserving with EverClean® surface to inhibit the growth of stains and bacteria.

The POP® Rectangular Sinks were the perfect under mounts to compliment the faucets and let’s not overlook the matching grid drains that came with the faucets for that elevated lux feeling.

Moving on to the shower, The Oak Hill® Personal Shower Set with the 10” Rain Can Showerhead brings the charm and lasting appeal of the traditional classic aesthetic into today’s home, with cross handles and intricate details reminiscent of vintage craftsmanship. Functionality is a breeze with its pivoting head water-saving features.

Accessories

Every detail counts, and DXV’s Oak Hill® Collection offered the perfect finishing touches. From towel bars to robe hooks, these accessories complemented the overall aesthetic we were trying to achieve seamlessly.

Since we were a little tight on wall space, we opted for the Toilet Paper Holder and their FABULOUS Elongate Toilet. Trust me when I tell you finding the right toilet for your bathroom is crucial. The pull bar on the top just added that bit of elegance to the toilet and the elongated seat definitely provides comfort.

We also chose to go with custom-cut mirrors – it was an easier solution with the space size we were working with and choosing the wall sconces that matched DXV’s satin brass were surprisingly easy – you won’t believe where we found these beauties – Kelly Clarkson’s Line on Wayfair (I know… crazy right??).

Bathroom decor accessories like the shelving were also custom cut by a local craftsman and our wastebasket, tray, and toilet paper holder were from Pottery Barn!

So, which bathroom style resonates with you? Are you drawn to the timeless elegance of the Oak Hill® Collection or the sleek contemporary design of Equility® ? Either way, DXV is your trusted partner in achieving the bathroom(s) of your dreams.

These two bathroom reveals demonstrate the incredible versatility of DXV hardware in transforming spaces. Whether you’re looking to create a classic, elegant bathroom reminiscent of a bygone era or a modern oasis with clean lines and contemporary aesthetics, DXV has the perfect hardware to make your vision a reality. When embarking on your own bathroom renovation journey, remember that the details matter.
