Gutting an entire kitchen and starting from scratch is no easy feat. The one important aspect we wanted to ensure was functionality and durability. After all, with a kitchen being the forefront for everyday use, we needed to make sure we were picking good quality products that were up for the challenge. Since a faucet is a feature you simply can’t live without, the quality, durability and style was a must for us because it’s one of the first things people notice when walking into a kitchen. Another feature we often overlook is the convenience. From install to the use of it – it had to fit our busy lifestyle of work and chasing after a crawling baby.
After hours (yes, hours) of research and visiting hardware stores to test out faucets, we narrowed it down to the one faucet that checked off all of our boxes. I’m talking about advanced technology and easy-to-use features that would make cooking, washing, and anything else you needed a faucet for (and even the things you didn’t realize) much more efficient. First, the install was a sinch since everything we needed came in one convenient box, including the integrated InnoFlex PEX supply lines. Within 30 minutes, Kev had the faucet hooked up and ready to use!
Features like the Touch2O Technology was the extra hand we really needed. Just one simple tap on the faucet or handle and the flow of water will either start or stop, not only is this convenient but helps keep the faucet clean so I’m never touching it with dirty hands (anything that’s easier on me for cleanup is a relief). When I need to grab the handle to clean around the sink, Touch2O Technology knows the difference between a touch and a grab, reducing the chances of false activation.
Another amazing feature? Knox still takes his baths in the sink so ensuring the water temperature is just right for him is so important. The Integrated TempSense LED light shows the water temperature, changing from blue to magenta to red as the temperature increases – allowing us to walk away from the sink and simply look over to see if the water is getting too hot or too cold for his bath.
As you can see, we decided to go for a fairly large sink so we need a lot of “give” on the hose. The high-arc, gooseneck design swivels 360 degrees with a 20-in. retractable hose for everyday kitchen tasks and don’t even get me started on those faucets where you have to fight to jam the hose back in its place. The MagnaTite Docking uses a powerful integrated magnet to snap the faucet spray wand exactly into place and hold it there so it stays docked when you’re not using it and you’ll also never have to worry about that annoying droop you get overtime from using the hose too much.
