6 Best Instagram-Worthy Spots in Paris

Travelling to Paris soon and looking for the perfect backdrop? Our recent trip to Paris was filled with mostly wandering the streets and getting lost but while we were doing just that, we also came across some incredible spots for photo-ops that are worth whipping your camera out for. Also, we revisited a few places we’ve been to before and noticed a few opportunities for photos that we overlooked the last time so chances are, you’ll already be visiting these places so why not get a pretty photo in while you’re there?

Here is my roundup of the 6 best spots for photos while in Paris.

  1. Rue St. Honoré

There’s really no specific address, just wander down one of the side streets on St. Honoré and you’ll find a gorgeous street with cobblestones, charming windows and peace and quiet so no one will get in the way of your shot. Oh and while you’re on this strip, do a bit of damage with some serious shopping in Chanel, Gucci, Goyard, Dior and more.

2. Le Marais

Just like rue St. Honoré, no specific address of a particular monument is needed, this entire area is filled with gorgeous alleys, art, museums, and free gardens you can enter and take beautiful photos of. This burrow is by far one of my favourites, the food, the shopping, and just the ambiance of it all is something worth seeing. We wandered into these grounds to snap a few photos and admire the architecture of this building. While you’re there, pop into Picasso Museum where the building alone is a haven for the perfect photo.

3. The Grounds of the Louvre

I’ll be honest, this was my least favourite spot to revisit, it’s always incredibly busy and there are so many people around but when we were wandering around the grounds before entering the museum, we found these hallways beside the glass triangles that were quiet and away from the crowds. We had all the time in the world to take photos completely uninterrupted.

4. Pont de la Concorde Bridge

Everyone always stops at Alexander III Bridge for a gorgeous shot of the views (understandably) but just passed this bridge is Pont de la Concorde bridge where you’ll get the best backdrop of the Eiffel tower and the Alexander Bridge – a total win-win!

5. The St Germain Strip

Again, there’s really no exact address needed for this strip, wandering down this main street and branching off on one of the side streets, you’ll find the perfect opportunities for gorgeous doors, lamp posts, charming alleys and all the quiet you need to take a photo.

6. Rue de l’Université

This iconic shot of the Eiffel tower with the charm of Paris’s buildings takes the cake. A word of advice… It’s at the very end of the street where it meets the Eiffel Tower but go first thing in the morning or be prepared to wait among the crowds for your 3-second opportunity to take photos. We got there around 9:30 am and it was beginning to fill up with families and visitors waiting for their turns to take photos. It’s worth the wait but defintely show up early and on a Sunday if you can, the streets are quiet with no commuters and you’ll only have to worry about other tourists.
