Nothing depressing about this grey and blue outfit on today’s post.
Chunky knits and long pleated skirts – my go-to for these final weeks of pregnancy. I’ve always assumed cropped knit sweaters would be the worst combination for a pregnant person but turns out – when paired with the right skirt, it can actually look quite flattering.
I truly believe that most normal sized clothes can fit a bump, rather than splurging money on maternity wear that is non-flattering, way too expensive, and too short lived. I love that this sweater can last with me after the baby is born. And any pleated skirt with an elastic band is also your best friend. I just pull this skirt right over my belly so the sweater can sit lower and as soon as baby is born, I can go back to wearing this skirt how I see fit. Finding ways to dress your growing bump without having to buy specific maternity clothes has definitely been my goal throughout this entire pregnancy and I have to admit, it’s been easier than I anticipated. I didn’t feel like I had to sacrifice my style for comfort and wear – most fashion nowadays is versatile to a wider variety of body types.
