These sinful brownies have a little bit of crunch and a whole lot of ooy-gooyness in each bite.
This recipe was given to me from someone very special. Her name is Savannah and at the age of 12, she’s already coming up with her very own recipes. This is her recipe that she handed over to me in a jar with all the dry ingredients. The only things I had to add in were the wet ingredients and of course, some extra chocolate and a little bit of marshmallows because who doesn’t love marshmallows in their brownies?
INGREDIENTS:
- Oil, for greasing pan
- 3. oz dark chocolate (I added in milk chocolate, you can choose to do semi-sweet)
- 11 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- cocoa powder
INGREDIENTS IN JAR:
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup coca powder
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 4. 0z dark chocolate chopped
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Use parchment paper and olive oil to grease and line an 8 in. x 6 in. baking pan
- Melt the chocolate and butter together
- Beat the eggs with the vanilla extract
- In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients, the melted chocolate and butter and the egg mixture together
- Mix thoroughly, using a rubber spatula to scrape the sides
- Pour the mixture into the pan and smooth the top
- Bake for 25 – 30 minutes
- Transfer the cooked brownies to a cooling rack
- After the brownies have cooled, dust the cocoa powder over the brownies, then cut them into squares evenly
