Enjoying the outdoors, apple picking and a lot of laughs – see what we got up to this last weekend.
This past weekend we had the opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful summer-like weather and went out apple picking at Williams Orchard. Located just a few minutes down the street from Chudleigh’s and Andrew’s Scenic Acres, this humble family-run orchard was the perfect spot. No crowds and great pickings for the best-tasting apples.
We had a blast combing through the trees and finding the best apples. Although most of the apples were consumed, we eventually filled up our basket with Golden Delicious and Mutsu. Now that I have over 20 apples, any ideas on what to do with them all?
So overall, it was a good weekend but a great day spent with family. A lot of laughs, beautiful weather, and just being outside makes for the perfect recipe of some good old family bonding time. If you haven’t had a chance yet, grab the family and make plans to go out and enjoy what we have left of the season. There are so many places locally that are great for all ages and it’s just another outing that will make for great memories that turn into traditions.
