This super easy recipe is perfect for satisfying all chocolate cravings. Whether you make this dessert for yourself or for those unexpected visits, I promise this recipe is so quick, easy and guilt-free you’ll have a hard time convincing your guests it wasn’t store bought. The avocado and cocoa powder are what makes this recipe so thick and tasty. Avocado is the new substitute for butter, it adds a creamy, subtle taste that goes with pretty much anything.

INGREDIENTS (Serves two):

  • 1 cup of chopped strawberries
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 almond milk sweetened (vanilla or chocolate flavoured)

Toppings (optional)

  • Pomegranates

INSTRUCTIONS:

Take two glasses or two small bowls, whatever you have on hand. Chop up enough strawberries that it makes one cup and spread evenly into each glass.

Pull out the blender, it’s time to whip this all up! Add in your maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, avocado and almond milk. Blend until mixed well. If the mixture is too thick for your taste, just add a little more almond milk.

Pour the mousse mixture evenly into the glasses. Sprinkle pomegranates on top, if you have any pistachios I recommend you crush them and sprinkle them on top, this will add some salty flavour to your sweet dessert.

Enjoy!
